visit with grandma

This evening the family went for a visit with my aunt and uncle and grandma and grandpa.  It ended that Mom and I were the last ones to leave and somehow we wound up around the piano.

Grandma (dad's mom) played a few of her favorite tunes.  She told us all about the special song she performed at church services last Sunday.  She played the song that is a family favorite "In the Garden."

In her piles of sheet music, which she apologized for it being unorganized, Grandma pulled out her favorite collection of oldies (from 1914-1924 oldies) and the book of music that was her mothers.  She played the song that always got her mothers 8 brothers gathered around the piano to harmonized while great-grandma played.
Watching her play was so neat, I supposed it is like typing on a keyboard...after a while you've done it so much that your hands just know where to go when you see the notes.

I should ask her for lessons.
