bound up

I had quite the busy weekend buried in the studio.

 First, I made a new sketchbook.  One a bit larger and lighter than the one I lug around right now.  it has five signatures and a buttonhole binding.

Next, I made five little notebooks with a good scrap of fabric on the interior binding.  Also buttonhole stitch.

Lastly, I need a little order added to my life, so I made an agenda to keep track of my life until the end of the year.  It has some vintage column grid paper for its pages and a piece of the scrap folder from the making of the little books as its cover.  I wrote in all the dates with a Sharpie pen and attached a button to the cover for closure.

And that is that.  It was a good weekend of stretching my muscles in making again.  Next, to finish that quilt!
