Christmas Miracles.
About a week before Christmas, Jason has this brilliant idea for what to give Dad.
As his boss is telling him to move a pallet of scrap wood to the burn pile, Jason sees potential. He envisions a giant butcher-block table top for our father to do his baking on.
And so he corrals our brothers to create this giant slab of wood on the sly.
Dad kept asking where everyone was and I ended up just telling him that he wasn't allowed to know and he shouldn't ask. That worked.
And after hours and hours of hard work...on my brothers' part, I just glued a few boards and took a few photos...it was finished. We presented it with a little photo booklet I put together showing the process. (To see the process...X.)
He loved it and has been baking non-stop ever since.
