TRIBUNE CHRISTMAS PARTY.

Every year the Newspaper/Antique Mall I work for in Wakarusa has a huge Christmas party. Over one-hundred and twenty-five people were in attendance this year. There was food and dessert galore. We start planning as soon as comeback during break. After so many years we have most of the kinks worked out to throw a great party. It is the social event of the season, at least that is what we tell everyone we invite. Invitation is word of mouth only and it takes a couple weeks and team work among all the coffee cronies to get the job done.

It was a super icy day. But everyone managed to make it the party anyway.

A line out the door for the food. The longest line I have witnessed in my four years of helping with this party.

Our eggnog doctorer and server extraordinaire Mr. Metzler.

Dad made three chocolate chip and cherry cheesecakes. They were a hit. He also made an entire army of gingerbread Santas and his Minions.

Bill, my boss, always has a local lady make chocolates. This year he ordered a variety which included mints, raspberry and maple balls, and turtles they were gobbled up.

Our friend Mike, who is originally from Lebanon, brought a selection of delicious desserts which are Middle Eastern/Greek.

Lots of food.

Ed, center (talking to Al, right), called his bluegrass band friends and invited them to play for us. We had music to serenade our lunch.

There were eight in the band. What a treat.

My mom and Rachel had the day off of work and so we were all able to enjoy the party together.
