wrap her up quick!

My friend Maggie and her husband Walter welcomed a baby girl into their family on February 21st.

Miss Sierra-Ruth being held by her father.  She fittingly has a head full of strawberry-blond hair just like her mother.

Naturally, I had to make Miss S-R a quilt to commemorate the occasion of her birth.

I stitched near the ditch in lines with pink thread and then added a greenish pearl cotton between the rows.

The binding I stitched up with the pink thread.  I decided to make all of these stitchings evident because nothing makes me happier than some hand stitches.

Elephants playing croquet, little girls gardening and the great geometrics and big flowers.

And of course I had to give it a proper tour of Wakarusa via bicycle basket (along with my lunch) before shipping it off to its little owner in Texas.

I'm having a super fun time imagining up the next few quilts on my list!
