winter portraits

Stella and I took a few moments between blizzards to snap a winter portrait.  Lewis did the snapping.  It seemed like the perfect day being that today was a heatwave of nearly 33 degrees Fahrenheit.

I'm sporting my longest and largest and warmest winter coat.  Stella has on her winter muffler because the she was totally over her Christmas scarf.  The muffler I made last night during the big game, where we were rooting for the commercials, after I finished stitching up the hat on my head.

At this point we are wondering why we are standing outside because its cold.

And now we remembered it was to show you all the huge piles of snow like the one behind that is taller than Stella.

My feet are at least 10x warmer since I picked up these sweet babies.  They are German made clogs with a thick felt wool upper and bed, cork sole and latex rubber sole sole.  I love them.  My baby toe finally feels like part of the family.  Paired with my Smartwool socks and I've kissed cold feet goodbye.

Oh that face!  She begs for another romp in the snow.  Mom's geraniums are keeping us going until all this white stuff takes a hike and the crocus' show up.  But until then I better get cooking on those Valentines.
